Arvinyl Laminates has a rich history that traces back to the innovations of Arvin Industries. In the mid-20th century, Arvin Industries developed and patented a vinyl-metal laminate called Arvinyl. This laminate quickly expanded to include leather-to-metal sheets and vinyl-to-wood products. Within five years, Arvin Industries became the largest and most innovative custom lamination company in the United States.

In 1991, the custom lamination manufacturing unit of Arvin Industries was sold, and the company was renamed Arvinyl Metal Laminates. In 2011, it was sold again and renamed Arvinyl Laminates, which continues to this day.
