Cerrowire has a rich history that dates back to the 1920s. It was initially established as Circle Flexible Conduit Co., Inc. by Hyman Cohn, focusing on the manufacturing and sale of armored cable and flexible steel conduit. Over the years, the company expanded its product line to include various types of copper wire and cable, leading to the change in name to Circle Wire & Cable Corp. in 1935.

In 1955, Cerro de Pasco Corp. acquired the company, which eventually became known as Cerro Wire & Cable Company. In 1976, Cerro Wire & Cable joined The Marmon Group, a global industrial organization.

By 1983, manufacturing facilities were added in Alabama, Utah, Indiana, and Georgia, with Hartselle becoming the corporate headquarters. In 2008, Berkshire Hathaway Inc. acquired a majority interest in the Marmon Group of companies, solidifying Cerrowire's position in the building wire industry.

Today, with over 100 years of experience and innovation under its belt, Cerrowire continues to be a leader in the electrical industry as a trusted supplier of copper wire and cable products.
