The Gatehouse was established in 2015 as an initiative of projectHandUp, a Christian organization founded by Lisa Rose. The organization was created in response to the increasing challenges faced by women in the community, such as unemployment and underemployment. The Gatehouse aims to provide a holistic approach to help single women and women with children overcome temporary hardships and achieve permanent self-sustainability.
